Hiring for the upcoming 2025-26 season at State Farm Center will begin soon! See below for our Open Interview dates and times for all positions listed except for the Production Stagehand role:
- Sunday, August 24 - 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Monday, August 25 - 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Tuesday, August 26 - 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
To participate in the open interview opportunity, simply visit the east main entrance of State Farm Center during one of the listed timeframes. Interviews are informal and specific attire is not required. There is no need to bring any documentation or application materials, as those will be provided on-site. If you wish to complete your application ahead of time, forms are available for download under each position listed below. Parking will be available in the northeast parking lot at the corner of 4th Street & Kirby Ave.
Event Staff
The Event Staff team is responsible for a wide variety of roles to enhance the guest experience, including greeting guests, scanning tickets, directing guests to seating areas and facility amenities, serving as ushers inside of the arena, and staffing the Illinois Premium Seating club spaces and seating areas within State Farm Center. State Farm Center employees must be at least 18 year of age and cannot be enrolled in High School and cannot be full-time employees of the University of Illinois. Starting pay rate for this position is $15 per hour.

Security Staff
Security staff members are responsible for monitoring crowds and secured areas, while at the same time providing exceptional customer service, in order to provide a safe environment for our guests. Applicants with security experience are preferred. State Farm Center employees must be at least 18 years of age and cannot be enrolled in High School and cannot be full-time employees of the University of Illinois. Starting pay rate for this position is $16.50 per hour.

Parking Staff
Parking staff members are responsible for collecting parking fees and monitoring parking lots, while at the same time providing exceptional customer service, at State Farm Center events. Applicants with cash handling experience are preferred. State Farm Center employees must be at least 18 year of age and cannot be enrolled in High School and cannot be full-time employees of the University of Illinois. Starting pay rate for this position is $17 per hour.

Emergency Medical Staff
Staff members are responsible for providing emergency medical care during events at State Farm Center. Requirements for this position are as follows: ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds; current certification in BLS and CPR, current Illinois EMT/EMT-I/EMT-P licensure. (Current ACLS card needed for Advanced providers). Current employment with an EMS system or Emergency Department is preferred. State Farm Center employees must be at least 18 year of age and cannot be enrolled in High School and cannot be full-time employees of the University of Illinois. Starting pay rates range from $16 to $19 per hour depending on level of license.

Production Stagehand
Stagehands assist touring production crews with load-in, set-up, operation, and load-out of show equipment and production elements. This part-time position has a flexible, events-based schedule, with hours that include nights and weekends. Prior experience with lighting and audio equipment, scenery and wardwrobe setup, or in other elements of concert and theatrical events is preferred but not required to be considered. Assignments may include long hours that include standing, lifting, pushing, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
Candidates MUST be at least 18 years of age, cannot be enrolled in high school, and cannot be a full-time employee nor a student at the University of Illinois.
Pay rate starts at $23.23/hr. Please note this position will have fewer potential hours than the other listed positions..
