Security Staff

Hiring for this position is ongoing for the 2019-20 season.

Emergency Medical Staff

Hiring for this position is ongoing for the 2019-20 season.

Staff members are responsible for providing emergency medical care during events at State Farm Center.  Requirements for this position are as follows:  2 years of experience in Prehospital EMS and/or Emergency Department; ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds; currently employed in an EMS system or Emergency Department, current certification in BLS and CPR, current EMT/EMT-I/EMT-P licensure.  (Current ACLS card needed for Advanced providers)   State Farm Center employees must be at least 18 year of age and cannot be enrolled in High School and cannot be full-time employees of the University of Illinois.  Starting pay rates range from $10.25 to $12 per hour depending on level of license.  If interested, please complete the application linked below and return to Brian Peddycoart, State Farm Center, Suite 1400, Champaign, IL  61822 or email to [email protected].

Student Opportunities

Student Marketing Internships

Requirements: Must be a currently enrolled University of Illinois student, have an interest in the Entertainment Marketing field, friendly and outgoing, demeanor of a young professional, responsible and organized. Excellent communication skills and creativity are musts.

Preferred Qualifications: Majoring in Communications, Media, Advertising, or RST (Recreation, Sports, and Tourism)

Hours: Flexibile to student schedule; 10 hours/week

Pay Rate: TBD; this is a paid internship position

Job Description: The student intern will report directly to the Assistant Director and Coordinator of State Farm Center Marketing. As Marketing Interns, students will focus efforts on reaching the university student body. These efforts include developing social media outreach, identifying campus community opportunities, and coordinating street team ventures. Marketing Interns will also be responsible for managing marketing databases, performing marketing research, and other duties as assigned.

Students will receive significant exposure to most aspects of event marketing and have the opportunity to develop skills that will prepare them for the professional world of entertainment.

A one-year academic commitment is required.

 

State Farm Center Externship Program

The State Farm Center is looking for students to participate in the State Farm Center Externship Program. Students should be interested in gaining knowledge and insight into different areas of event management and venue operations.

Student Externship positions are available in the Fall and Spring Semesters in the following areas:

   Event Management

   Operations/Facilities Management

   Extra Help

   Marketing & Graphic Design

   Illinois Ticket Office

The Externship program is open to all University of Illinois students, and the number of externs is not currently limited. This is an unpaid, short-term position.
